Vision

The future vision of the Media Department at Al-Zahra University( peace be upon her) is establishing the qualitative description of the university, as it is the first among its counterparts in the field of academic institutions concerned and dedicated to women. Therefore the vision of the university’s media department roots from the achievements and scientific and academic merit of female students and administrative and teaching cadres within the spotlight. In creating a university that excels in feminist media and is prepared to compete with various women’s universities in the Arab region, as well as keeping pace with the rapid global developments at the university and presenting high-level promotional programscontemporary in nature, according to the standards of committed university media, as well as promoting the television appearance of most of the university’s competencies (teachers, staff, students ) in a way that marks its position as an important source of awareness in society by raising the level of excellence and high competitiveness to supplement the media field with distinguished media and academic competencies.

Central Message

The ultimate aim underlies in highlighting the identity of the university in accordance with the policy drawn up by the founding body represented by the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Al-Hussainia and strengthening its competitive capacities within Iraqi universities and institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and creating an effective and strong network of communication with the concerned higher authorities.

2. Draw a bright image for the university, which contributes to achieving its mission and goals.

Media and Public Relations Department tasks:

Media and Public Relations Department is the media front of the university and performs the following tasks:

  • Defining the role and mission of the university, and striving to build a positive image of the university among the internal and external public.
  • Publishing all news, activities and announcements related to the university, and facilitating the task of media professionals and journalists to obtain information related to the university.
  • Documenting of all university activities, i.e. working to cover activities and events of various types such as conferences, celebrations, occasions, seminars, discussion groups, festivals, etc., for all colleges and departments, shedding light on them and pushing them to all media outlets, and supporting colleges and departments in implementing them.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the tasks of all media outlets to cover and complete their media reports.
  • Organizing the university’s central conferences and celebrations and taking on the responsibility of completing the media aspects of these celebrations through various media outlets.
  • Monitoring all media outlets and the matters published therein related to the university and presenting them to the attention of the university president for decision and possible response (monitoring and analysis).
  • Organizing interviews through various media outlets for the university president and any other official at the university and being constantly present with the media in such activities.
  • Following up on the humanitarian and social aspects of all university members, including teaching and administrative staff and students, and offering congratulations and condolences on happy and sad occasions and other occasions.
  • Building bridges of communication with Iraqi, Arab and international universities.
  • Interacting with the community and meeting its needs for accurate information and statistical facts.
  • Follow up on public opinion trends regarding the university’s activities and various achievements.
  • Preparing and issuing bulletins related to the university’s achievements and activities and distributing them inside and outside the university.
